Wear it for Conviction.

I have nothing against people who buy shirts during conferences. I mean, it’s our showing our conviction that we truly are YFCs.

But lately, I have observed a lot of things among our fellow YFC. Everyone wants to have a shirt like this and like that even though he or she is not even attending that conference.

I often ask myself of what is their purpose?

Is it to brag to their other YFC that they have this kind of shirt and the others have not. Is it part of showing off?

One of the situations that I have observed is this.

“Ay sige hindi na ako sasama ng <insert name of conference here> Papabili nalang ako ng shirt kay <insert name of fellow YFC here>.”

What is it that they are after? The shirt? or the experience of being with God that we will gain during the conference?

For me, I enjoy every conference that I go to. Not because that it adds to my YFC shirt collection, but the fact that even though that I will not be able to avail a shirt, I am able to experience God’s tremendous love from that conference.

So, Do you buy and wear your YFC shirts for conviction or just to brag to other people?
